Make your own whole wheat tomato spaghetti with broccoli

Ingredients
. 20ml olive oil
. 20gm onion, medium, sliced finely
. 2gm garlic, sliced finely
. 60gm ripe tomato, grated
. 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
. 5gm sea salt
. 1gm freshly ground black pepper
. 50gm dried spaghetti
. 10gm chopped fresh basil
. 30gm blanched broccoli florets
. 5gm Parmesan cheese, grated
Method
Place a saucepan on medium heat; sauté onions in a tablespoon of olive oil for 5-6 mins, or until soft and light golden. Sauté the garlic, and add fresh tomato and vinegar.
Season with a tiny pinch of salt and pepper, then continue cooking for about 15 mins, stirring occasionally; reduce the heat and leave to cook until the sauce has thickened.
Boil the spaghetti for about 8-10 mins till done. Drain the pasta using a colander and tip the spaghetti back into the pot; add a teaspoon of olive oil and stir.
Serve all the ingredients - including the basil, broccoli and cheese - separately in a fun measuring spoon set and let your child mix it on his/her plate.
