Meet Nura Afia, the first Hijab-wearing face of international cosmetics brand Cover Girl. To the rest of the Internet universe, Afia is known for her makeup guides on YouTube.
In her channel she shows tutorials on how ladies, especially those that wear hijabs, can spruce up their looks because let's face it - every woman deserves to look and feel gorgeous.
Afia's appointment as Cover Girl's new brand ambassador stems from worldwide brands moving on to become more diverse in their approach with advertising, touching on varied culture groups and genders. Before Afia, Cover Girl even signed in its first male ambassador, James Charles.
Speaking about her appointment and future campaigns with the brand, a Guardian report quoted her as saying: "I hope [this campaign] will show Muslim women that brands care about us as consumers and we're important, especially hijabis," Afia said. "We can be featured on TV, can be featured on billboards in Times Square, can be represented."
Nura, which goes by the handle of Babylailalov on YouTube is part of an emerging group of Muslim beauty bloggers that are making waves on social media. Here's some of our favourite looks from the newly appointed ambassadress:
