The pride of Pakistan
Abdus Sattar Edhi, the pride of Pakistan and the saint of Karachi, is no more with us. His Edhi Foundation is the most respected NGO in Karachi serving humanity since over six decades. Even in his death, as per his will his corneas have been donated through which he will continue to see how we carry his legacy forward. He was laid to rest in a grave he had earmarked for himself 25 years back, and in the same simple dress that was his identity. He was awarded the Raymon Magsasy Award and the Lenin Award. Edhi is a deserving candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize. It's time his services are recognised.
