Through this letter I request the readers to see the flip side of the problem and everyone will appreciate the authorities of Mawaqif.

I live in the main business district of Abu Dhabi for more than a decade and witnessed several fire accidents within the vicinity of my house. Whenever there was a fire accident, the civil defence vehicle could not approach the site due to haphazard parking of cars. The civil defence man has to call the individual car owner to move the car and pave the way for the civil defence vehicles to make way to the site.  In this process, precious life and material are lost. With the current parking system, it ensures a clear way for the movement of any vehicle at any time, including the ambulance and civil defence vehicles.

I feel human life is paramount in comparison with 5 to 10 minutes hovering for the parking slots by the individual. On the other hand, Mawaqif should also implement more parking spaces either multi-level parking or undergone parking in all the area at the earliest.
