Aqua Fun: UAE’s first in-water inflatable park

Staff Reporter / 22 December 2013

Aqua Fun is looking to break two Guinness World Records — to become home to both the world’s tallest inflatable water-slide and the largest UAE flag.

Yet another water park has opened in the UAE, but this one comes with a unique feature. Aqua Fun in the Capital became the UAE’s first inflatable water park when it opened its doors several weeks ago, along the corniche, and has designs of spreading beyond the emirate and the country.

In order to help stand out from the crowd, the park is also looking to break two Guinness World Records — to become home to both the world’s tallest inflatable water-slide and the largest UAE flag, though no word yet on when the park is hoping to achieve this feat.

Aqua Fun founder Ahmed bin Chaibah said: “I always wanted to create an environment for people of all ages to enjoy. It had to be a water park that would allow people to get together and a place to visit in the local community. For me it was also a way of giving back to people in my community, and we want to be able to move the idea to Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah within the next couple of months, and beyond the UAE.”

Aqua Fun has introduced the first, and largest, in-water inflatable park, which allows for multiple games that can be played in the water, with a total usable area of more than 2,000 square metres. Games that are popular in the area include Soap Soccer, a challenging obstacle course, and the gymnasts’ Bossaball.
