The video of a popular Indonesian Quran reciter has gone viral since Wednesday after he died during a live recitation at an official event.
While reciting verses from Surah Al Mulk at an official ceremony, Sheikh Ja'far Abdulrahman can be seen collapsing midway during the recitation in the live broadcast. Indonesia's Minister of Social Affairs Khofifah Indar Parawansa was attending the event.
According to reports, the country's famous reciter suffered a fatal cardiac arrest and was taken away by medics on a stretcher.
Social media has been flooded with comments praising Abdulrahman for the honour of dying while reciting the Holy Quran.
"What an honorable way to die," commented a netizen.

The results came from a combined Phase I and Phase II trial involving more than 600 healthy adults conducted between April 29 and July 30.
