Video: Prince William, Kate's plane violently shakes before landing

Pilot tried to land twice at airports in Islamabad.

Frightening video footage has emerged of the turbulence suffered on board on board Prince William and Kate Middleton's RAF Voyager plane which caused the pilot to abandon his landing on Thursday evening.
The RAF Voyager plane carrying the royals, who are on a four-day official visit to Pakistan, tried to land twice, at Rawalpindi air base and Islamabad international, before it decided to return to Lahore.
Footage shows passengers on board the flight holding onto the headrests for support and nervously laughing as the plane rolled violently in the storm, reported Daily Mail.Daily Mail's royal correspondent Rebecca English, who was on board the plane, tweeted: "The pilot circled for an hour but the lightening - and turbulence - was so bad we had to fly back."

"Few of us have experienced turbulence as bad as that," she added. 
Another passenger said it was a 'pretty serious storm', describing the flight as a 'rollercoaster'.

William, who has previously worked as a search and rescue helicopter pilot, told reporters after they landed that he and Kate were fine, joking that the problems had been caused because he was flying the plane.

The couple stayed at Lahore's Pearl Continental Hotel on Thursday evening, along with journalists, their staff and foreign ministry officials. The couple told reporters after returning to Lahore that they were "fine".
The royal couple wrapped up their five-day visit to Pakistan on Friday, in which they dined with the prime minister and made an emotional tour of a cancer hospital previously visited by William's mother, the late Princess Diana.
