Islamabad: A customs court in Rawalpindi on Wednesday accepted a plea filed by supermodel Ayyan Ali to return her passport against two surety bonds worth Rs1 million each.
Presiding Judge Rana Aftab Ahmed heard the plea relating to the money smuggling case filed against the model.
Accepting Ayyan's plea, the customs court ruled that assets of Ayyan Ali will be confiscated if she fails to return from abroad.
Earlier, the customs officials submitted a report pertaining to return of Ayyan's passport in the court and prayed against handing it over to her.
They maintained that the authorities had seized three passports from Ayyan when she was arrested in March.
The report further stated that if the passport was returned, there wass a possibility that the super model might escape from Pakistan and might not return.
