Jalandar-based, 29-year-old  Naveen Kumar Teji committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan on Sunday.
Before taking the extreme step, he went ahead and made an 18-minute video on his phone. He can be seen asking his sister to take care of his parents in the video. As per a report in Hindustan Times, the sister rushed on receiving a WhatsApp message from her brother at 3.30am and found him hanging by the ceiling.
It has now emerged that he was conned by an immigration company who promised to send him to the USA for Rs6.8 lakh. After paying 2 lakhs, he left India in July but was taken to Armenia and later abandoned him at Georgia, as per the Hindustan Times report.
