An Indian man made a 96km journey to reach the hospital so that doctors could remove an arrow stuck in his chest. The man, identified as Madhvi Lakhma was asleep when he was struck by an arrow by two assailants who barged into his house.
Horrifying footage filmed in Sukma district in Chhatisgarh, central India, shows the blood-soaked man standing calmly as one doctor holds the middle of the arrow while the other saws off the shaft to make it easier to remove. The clips shows how the arrow pierced through Lakhma's chest with its point emerging from near his neck.
According to reports in the Daily Mail, the men shot two arrows at Lakhma with the second one hitting him straight in his chest. It is reported that Lakhma had initially gone to the village hospital but as they were not equipped to remove the arrow, he was forced to travel 96km.
