A 16-year-old student attempted suicide by jumping off the fourth floor of his house here but is now stable, police said on Saturday.
Police are probing the reasons behind the the suicide attempt including the online game Blue Whale Challenge.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Milind Mahadeo Dumbere said that incident happened on Wednesday in Ashok Vihar area of north Delhi.
"Certain section of media is reporting that suicide is due to Blue Whale Game. On our investigation and inquiry conducted so far, the role of Blue Whale game has not been established," he said.
Dumbere told IANS that there were no self-inflicted injuries on the boy and his condition is stable, but police are yet to record his statement.
He contended that the boy had changed his school recently and was not able to adjust with his new schoolmates as he was attached to his old friends, and requested people not to jump to conclusions and create panic.
