DUBAI - Modhesh World, one of the region’s biggest indoor edutainment venue, opens its doors this summer on Monday, June 20 at the Dubai Airport Expo. Modhesh World is back again this year with many more themed zones dedicated to entertain and educate children, teenagers, and grown-ups alike.

Modhesh World will last until September 10, running for 83 days; the longest period ever since its inception in 2000. A main attraction for the Dubai Summer Surprises, Modhesh World will operate throughout the summer – during the period of Dubai Summer Surprises, Ramadan and Eid – with around 40 themed zones featuring in this year’s edition. 

Attractions for this year include a huge fun fair, a skate park zone, horse riding, the Modhesh studio, an inflatable zone, books bazaar, XBOX and Magic Planet zone in addition to numerous other entertainment areas.

“Modhesh World has evolved greatly since its launch in 2000. Due the outstanding response we have received each year, we were encouraged to bring something new and entertaining for our visitors. Along with the number of visitors each year, there has been an increase in terms of the number of activities and events planned and this year it is definitely bigger and better,” said Yousif Mubarak.

“Modhesh World is an event suitable for people belonging to all age groups as well as from different backgrounds. It offers a complete package of entertainment with education for children living in Dubai in addition to those holidaying here. Running over 80 days this summer, Modhesh World promises to be a rewarding destination for children after all the hard work they go through during their academic year,” he said.

“Dubai has a lot to offer this summer – with Dubai Summer Surprises, Ramadan in Dubai and Eid in Dubai and promotions running throughout this period, we are expecting many more tourists. Also, Modhesh World will be running for the longest period ever, thus we expect a lot more visitors this year,” he added

The entry tickets are priced at Dh 15 for adults and children with numerous free zones to choose from. Entry for children below the age of 3 years and for physically challenged people (plus accompanied person) is free. The venue will be open from 10am - 10 pm between Saturdays and Wednesdays, 10am to midnight on Thursdays, and from 3pm to midnight on Fridays. 

Some of the biggest entertainment companies are a part of Modhesh World this year including key sponsors Magic Planet and HB LEISURE. Dubai World Trade Centre, Coca Cola, Emirates, Masafi, and UNION COOP are the other key sponsors of Modhesh World.

Zone Highlights

Mini Studio

Families and their children can take memorable photos at the mini studio zone next to a large Modhesh figure.

XBOX

Kids can experience the wonders of XBOX games in a competitive atmosphere with their friends and families.

Skate Park Zone and Activity

A huge skating arena has been set up for the kids to enjoy ice skating in the summer months of Dubai.

Horse Riding

Modhesh World has created a special zone where kids can ride on horses and ponies. The zone is safe and supervised by trained personnel.

Soft Play Plus

The biggest and most exciting Toddler Play Zone in the UAE, this zone is over 500 square metres of ultra-safe soft play with every imaginable kind of climbing and tumbling device, a ballroom, slides, and a mountain of educational toys from the cuddly to the interactive.

Sports Zone

There is nothing like competitive sport, but the Sports Zone at Modhesh World takes it to a new level. Fantastic interactive sports games provide the ultimate way to get fit and have fun.

Bounce & Adventure Park

Filled with exciting attractions, the Bounce and Adventure Park is a favourite with toddlers and children with all kinds of inflatables. 

Arts & Crafts Zone

The Arts & Crafts Zone helps children explore their creativity with the help of trained art supervisors. Activities include drawing, painting, and weaving amongst others.  

Heritage Display

Modhesh World might offer the very latest in excitement and fun, but that doesn’t mean the past can’t be fascinating too. The Heritage Display Zone is the place families can explore Arabian heritage and have a glimpse of true Emarati culture.

Al Maidan

A dedicated area for the popular dance youla, the Al Maidan area is a must-visit to see the traditional art of toy gun-flinging.   

Modhesh Friends Club

Besides the zones, children can look forward to Modhesh Friends Club, a unique summer camp where children between the ages of 3 and 8 embark on a one-month learning experience featuring edutainment programmes, outdoor trips, and visits to numerous cultural places.
