RAS AL KHAIMAH - Five Asian workers sustained moderate to severe burns in a fire that broke out in a factory in Ras Al Khaimah.The workers were shifted to the Saqr Hospital. According to sources, two of the workers received 50 to 60 per cent burns. Both of them are admitted in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.
“The three others, who has 20 to 30 per cent burnt, are admitted to the surgery section.”
The Civil Defence inspectors have started investigation to find out the reason behind the fire.
In November 2011, the bedroom of an Emirati, residing in the Rashid locality of the Julphar area, was gutted in a fire. In another incident, a high voltage power pole caught fire close to the Rashid Al Habsi Masjid in Al Seih area.
Luckily, the fire did not extend to the nearby areas.
