Motorists have been advised to be careful while driving in hilly areas, and must consider the weather conditions, he said.

He urged families to keep an eye on their children while going to the beaches, parks and other entertainment areas.

Residents were also advised to switch off power supply panels, and not leave air conditioners on when leaving their residences.

Picnickers have been asked not to set fire for barbeques in areas which are not designated for cooking. Director of Fujairah municipality, Mohammed Saif al Afkham, and Aseela Abdullah Al Mualla, head of Public Health Section said they have made all arrangements for the occasion including the abattoir which will open to the public on the first day of Eid after prayers.

The Municipality and charity organisations will cooperate in streamlining the exemption of slaughter charges at the abattoir.

The market control office will be on duty round the clock, and inspectors will be on duty as well.

The health section has issued a booklet containing instructions on how to select the sacrificial animal and that animals should be slaughtered in the abattoir, which is safe and healthy.

Added to this, waste collection trucks will work during the holiday.

Diba Fujairah has also made similar arrangements for the occasion, and streets have been decorated.
