Sharjah woman falls to death from 31st floor

Afkar Abdullah / 15 April 2012

SHARJAH — The Sharjah Police are investigating into the death of a 36-year-old Iranian woman who fell from the 31st floor of Manazil Tower 3 in Al Taawun Area on Friday night.

Police sources said that following a call, Anjad patrol, CID officers, forensic experts and an ambulance rushed to the scene. But they found that the woman had died on the spot. She was lying in a pool of blood with severe damage to her skull. The police removed the body to the forensic laboratory for autopsy.

Many people have been taken into custody for interrogation to determine whether the woman committed suicide or if there was any foul play.

This is the fourth tragic death in Sharjah in two days. On Wednesday, a 40-year-old Yemeni, a 29-year-old Bangladeshi and a 32-year-old Indian fell to death from high-rise buildings.
