DUBAI — MashreqMillionaire, the longest running and innovative saving scheme in the UAE, has announced Shameer Khan as the winner of the Dh5million prize. In addition, a draw of Dh1 million was held for customers saving in MashreqMillionaire for two years and more, and Muhammad Amir Goulam Nabi was declared winner.MashreqMillionaire held its mega draws on December 30 at the JBR Walk, Dubai. The event saw several activities, the proceeds of which were donated to the Dubai Autism Centre.
Douglas Beckett, Head of Retail Banking Group in Mashreq, announced MashreqMillionaire’s new prize structure for the year 2011 which is designed to create more mega millionaires.
The new structure will offer Dh5million every quarter during the year and Dh1million for the rest of the months.
Last year, MashreqMillionaire offered the biggest cash prize draw ever, of Dh10million, to one single winner in the month of June. The saving scheme gave away prizes worth 33.4 million and made 14 millionaires during the year.
Mashreq certificates can be encashed any time for their full value after 90 days from date of purchase. However, there is a normal charge for encashment within 90 days. MashreqMillionaire draws are supervised by the Dubai Economic Department to ensure fair and transparent practices. Certificates are available at all Mashreq branches, UAE Exchange, Al Fardan Exchange, Al Ghurair Exchange outlets and also online, on www.mashreqbank.com.
