Kazakh President on Private Visit to UAE

ABU DHABI — The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, received the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, at Al Mushrif Palace on Monday.

The Kazakh head of state is on a private visit to the UAE.

Welcoming Nazarbayev, Shaikh Khalifa hoped UAE-Kazakhstan bonds would make further progress.

The two leaders reviewed ways of enhancing bilateral relations for the best interest of the peoples of the two countries.

They also exchanged views on a wide range of regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The Kazakh president praised the UAE’s successful hosting the F1 final race at Yas Marina Circuit.

He said he was impressed with the advanced facilities at the motor sport track.

Later, Shaikh Khalifa hosted a luncheon in honour of the president of Kazakhstan and his accompanying delegation.

A number of shaikhs, ministers and top officials attended the talks and the banquet.
