After UAE launched it's remote working system for the public sector to contain the coronavirus, Covid-19, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) also issued a decree on Thursday regulating remote work system for the private sector.
In a statement issued on social media, MoHRE tweeted that as part of the preventive measures taken across the country to stop Covid-19 spread, Nasser bin Thani Al Hamli, Minister of MoHRE, issued a decree setting guidelines for remote work for private sector employees too.
As per the decree, the following precautionary measures are laid out for private sector as they work from home:
- Work remotely and prioritize certain categories.
- Employees in office should not exceed 30 per cent of total capacity
- Reduce number of customers to 30% of of capacity
- Ensure labour bus is used by maximum 25 per cent of whole capacity

UAE launched a nationwide campaign on Thursday night to combat Covid-19.
The decree comes into effect on March 29, 2020, and for two weeks.
