British-Pakistani boxer's wife, Faryal Makhdoom, has revealed who might be behind her husband's recently 'leaked adult tape'.
The 25-year-old has implied that the clip was released by one of her husband's close team member - a claim that the boxer's father has rubbished.
Sajjad Khan has denied the explicit video was posted by a disgruntled terminated employee.
However, Sajjad confirmed that Khan Boxing had reluctantly been forced to reduce staff.
"A few staff have lost their jobs but I do I think it was one of them, absolutely not. We have had to make some redundancies from the boxing side, this happens in business at times, but I am not discussing who and when. I have no idea who was responsible for leaking the video of my son but I cannot image it was one of our staff or former staff even if his wife is suggesting this" - The Mirror
"I do think that the only person or people who leaked the video were the ones who recorded it and I have no idea who that was," the boxer's father added.
Commenting on the ongoing bitter feud between his family and his daughter-in-law, he is sure that the family will move past its differences.
"Time heals."
Earlier on Monday, Amir had hinted his family may have leaked the explicit sex tape in his first TV interview since the footage was leaked.
In an interview from San Francisco, the boxing star and his wife clarified that their marriage remains strong - and hinted that a family member could've leaked the X-rated material.
"We're here to show that all the divorce rumours aren't true. We're not here to cause problems - we just want to show that our marriage is fine and we're doing well. But we think this happened because of what's going on. I feel like it was done by somebody close to us out of revenge."
On being pushed to comment on the clip, Faryal said: "I have no idea - it could be a jealous girlfriend passing it on or a former employee who was fired from the Amir Khan foundation. I'm not saying it's a family member, but the timing is strange - it happened now for a reason."
Commenting on the timeline of the incident recorded in the tape, Amir said: "It happened a long time ago before I was married and before I became a father. It's somebody trying to put me down and dismiss all the charity work I do. It's upset me more than anything."
The young boxer added that although he is relieved that the video is out there [implying that he no more has to worry about hiding it], but he is concerned about how it might affect his young fanbase.
"I'm not going to let it get to me - I'm using it as motivation".
Faryal then chimed in: "Being judged over something in the past is sad. Our marriage is brilliant. It's going really well and we're really strong. Our main priority is Amir's next fight."
Faryal's recent revelations on social media about 'ill-treatment' from her in-laws have made headlines around the world, where she claimed that her in-laws abused her and wanted to end their marriage, the Daily Mail reported earlier this month.
According to a source, this 'naked selfie' was the cause of the big fight in the family. Faryal was accused of posting 'nude' or revealing pictures on social media.
"I speak to my parents now and again - things are getting better. Being in the US gives us some space to be alone," Amir said about the family feud.
"I go into the ring to fight for a better life for everyone. I want us to live like a happy famIly."
