Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao was received warmly by fans and supporters upon his arrival in the UAE on Monday night.
His first time visit to the UAE, Pacquiao is in Dubai for tomorrow's Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) clash between the side he owns, plays for and coaches, Mahindra Enforcers and Alaska Aces at Al Wasl Club.
But on the sidelines of this visit, it is believed Pacman might also be involved in some high level meetings with local sports bodies to discuss the prospect of staging his last fight in Dubai.
"I'd love to fight in Dubai," declared Pacquiao, 36, who is planning to fight one more time next year before running for senator in the Philippines' general election in May.
The eight-division world champion said he would like to fight "anybody" but was eager for a rematch with unbeaten American Floyd Mayweather who won the May 2 'Fight of the Century' in Las Vegas.
Manager of Sports Events at DSC, Rashid Al Kamali who is part of the organising committee for Pacquiao's visit said: "He is a great man. He is a legend. That's why we love to see him around and his fans are great. We have a big population of Filipinos in the UAE and they love to see him."
The Filipino boxing champ also met fans at the Du Shop in Dubai Mall yesterday.
