ADDING A FRESH appeal to the region’s fashion events, Arabia Fashion Week (AFW) 09, will kick off at 5pm today at the Palladium in Dubai Media City. The invitation-only event will feature the latest collections of 22 designers, most of whom are making their Dubai debut.

The event will feature collections from across the UAE, France, Germany, Poland, Spain, India, Egypt, Italy, Pakistan, the Czech Republic, Lebanon, Colombia and Saudi Arabia, making it the most comprehensive international fashion event in the emirate.

The event is being supported by prestigious industry names that will be conducing activities throughout the course of the event.

“After months of planning and untiring efforts, ‘Team AFW’ are excited about the event’s opening on November 4. We have endeavoured to maintain an exclusive signature within every aspect of the event and hope the media and audiences will appreciate our concept and extend their interest and support to AFW in the coming seasons,” said Yaser Ali, CEO, The Look Fashion and Events.

Arabia Fashion Week will continue till November 6. The event’s finale will be followed by an after party with DJ Benny Benassi at the Atlantis Hotel, Palm Jumeirah.
