Get your consoles ready because the region's biggest gaming event is landing in Dubai.
Games 15 and ESL are set to host the most anticipated tournament in the Middle East from September 10-12 at Dubai International Marina Club, featuring six of the best professional teams from around the globe.
The ESL ESEA Pro League Invitational will centre around first person shooter game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive with a whopping $250,000 (Dhs918,000) up for grabs. The Counterstrike franchise, which launched 12 years ago, has consistently ranked as one of the best team-based action games around. Famous gamers scheduled to attend include Joe Miller, Lauren "Pansy" Scott and Leigh "Deman" Smith.
Competing teams will have to fight through a quarter and semi-final before pitting their skills against another talented group in the grand final. In addition to the tournament, gamers can look forward to early demos from publishers like Sony PlayStation and XBOX, as well as cosplay, forums and workshops.
Ticket sales will be announced soon. For more details, visit www.games-me.com.
