Life

We can-not wait for this one. Actually while you're reading this, we're probably in the matinee show-ing for another gander. First it stars both Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Reynolds. Second it's a creepy space movie and we haven't had one of those for ages and finally it looks brilliant up on screen. Not one to watch at home, this is a picture you have to get out there, purchase your ticket and enjoy. The crew onboard the International Space Station manage to capture a capsule full of materials from Mars in order to study the load. What's inside? Cellular life. What does that life do? Grow at an accelerated rate and try and destroy the scientists. What's not to like? We cannot rave about this one enough. Go see it!

Power Rangers

Ah. From the majesty of Life to the complete train wreck that Power Rangers will no doubt be. Why are they bringing this back? Yes the Rangers had a brief period in the sun from their Saturday morning TV slot with 1993's Might Morphin' Power Rangers to the big screen debut in 1995, but they have since merely carried on as a series of 30-minute toy commercials that generate billions in merchandise revenue. This reboot goes right back to the beginning, choosing five new teenagers to become Power Rangers and save the world from Rita, now played by Elizabeth Banks. You never know, it may be fun, but we aren't holding our breath. Wait.Bryan Cranston plays Zordon? Okay maybe we'll go.
