A confirmed exhibitor line-up of more than 70+ exhibitors are on hand from various parts of the UAE, India, Singapore and Pakistan with an expected audience footfall of 2000+ during the day.
This edition is going to be spectacular, as, for the first time, the brand PadmaSitaa by renowned Indian actress Padmini Kolhapure will be exclusively launched with a personal appearance from the celebrity herself. PadmaSitaa, Padmini Kolhapure and Sita Talwalkar's latest designer label, was formed with the motive to keep alive the legacy of artisans who are involved in hand-crafted vintage embroidery from the heart of India.
PadmaSitaa's designs are both Indian and Indo-Western with capes, sarees, tunics, anarkalis, skirts, lehengas, and crop tops offering a wide range of choices. "The embroidery is very unique and we wanted to incorporate it in a varied range," elaborated Padmini Kolhapure. "What is unique about these garments, is that each handcrafted piece takes a painstaking amount of time to create. The vintage embroidery is very intricate. Not very many artisans can boast of being masters. And there is no quick route to this creation."
She added, "I am so excited to come to Dubai and am really looking forward to see the hot fashionistas of Dubai!" The event will be held at at the Al Yasat Ballroom, Murooj Rotana Hotel, on Saturday, October 10, from 10am-9pm.
