What will you be bringing to the UAE?
My set is usually an open formatted gig with hip-hop, mash-ups and dance music.
What is the UAE's reputation for clubbing like in the DJ community?
Amazing energy and the UAE is no longer dwelling on old-school records. Places are well up-to-date with new music from the US.
Where is the best place to DJ and why?
I love Dubai due to the exotic location, great food and very beautiful women.
How did you come up with your DJ name?
I never want fans to forget my name. If I tell you 'I'm the Whoo Kid' you would be like, 'what?' It sounds stupid, but you won't forget it, so it's better than me saying, 'I'm ScratchMaster X' or something. That's corny.
What is your secret to creating a hit?
I've been fortunate to have access to T.I., Steve Aoki, Waka Flocka, Asap Rocky and others to create hit records. So it would be difficult to bang out weak songs.
What advice do you have for any aspiring DJs?
Never stop promoting yourself.
Would you like to collaborate with any artists in particular?
Yes, Jay-Z. He's on the bucket list.
