Darth Vader, other Star Wars cast pay tribute to Carrie Fisher

Hollywood-actress, writer and mental-health advocate Carrie Fisher passed away on Wednesday after complications resulting from a heart attack she suffered during a transatlantic flight on December 23.
Fisher, who is known to the entire world as the actress who gave life to Princess Leia in the film series "Star Wars" was well loved by fans all over the world. She became a household face after the release of the original Star Wars film in 1977.
But she was not only an actress, she was also a mover of pop culture - inspiring women of all ages to dress up like her Star Wars character across comic conventions and other special events. But to her colleagues through the Star Wars film saga, she is remembered as a friend.
Mark Hamill, whom Fisher starred alongside with in 2015's Star Wars: The Force Awakens expressed his grieving in a simple-one-line tweet.

 
David Prowse, who is the man behind antagonist Darth Vader tweeted his condolences.
 
Billy Dee Williams, who played Lando Calrissian on two Star Wars films - The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi remembers Fisher as a great friend.
 
Anthony Daniels who provided the body and voice behind robot character C-3P0; who earlier had hoped for Fisher's recovery expressed his sadness over the unfortunate turn of events.
 
Apart from the members of the Star Wars cast, Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger released a statement with regards Fisher's passing. Disney recently acquired the rights to produce Star Wars films from George Lucas.
 
 
Fisher's mother, Debbie Reynolds expressed her sadness over the loss of her daughter on Facebook.
