Superstar Salman Khan announced on Wednesday that he will be presenting each Indian athlete at the Rio Olympics 2016 with a cheque of Rs 101,000 as a "gesture of appreciation".
The "Dabangg" star also shared that the Indian government is very supportive of sports.
He said that he admires the work the Olympic Gold Quest is doing to "shape tomorrow's champions".

The 50-year-old superstar was last seen on screen in "Sultan", produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner Yash Raj Films, which is on it's way to becoming one of India's highest grossing hits.
Earlier this month, YRF had also announced that it will honour Indian athletes who win gold at Rio with Rs one million.
