Dunia Finance started the week the fourth installment of its award-winning Dunia Young Business Leaders Program, which extends for two weeks until July 21.
The course, which is complimentary and held annually, offers high school students in the 11th and 12th grades and university students in the first and second years a unique opportunity to complement their academic learning with practical corporate training and leadership skills development.
By connecting participants with top industry leaders and entrepreneurs sharing their insights and expertise, the programme helps equip students with the leadership skills and commercial understanding necessary to excel in their respective fields.
Rajeev Kakar, managing director and CEO of dunia, said: "Our world is now more inter-connected and fast-paced than ever, and success - whether as an entrepreneur or as part of a top-tier company - requires not only a well-rounded education, but also hands-on experience. The Dunia Young Business Leaders Program was established in recognition of this requirement, acting as a platform for young, ambitious students to interact and learn from real-life business practitioners."

The programme's ambition to encourage and inspire bright young people to become not just job seekers, but job creators has been fruitful, with numerous success stories to date. In the US, 2014 alumnus Patrick Wee is currently interning with Goldman Sachs in New York, while 2013 graduate Neamah Hussein is interning with Facebook in California. In the UAE, 2014 alumnus Zohayr Khan founded Dubai Minds, a project that links high school students with internship opportunities.
