"The manufacturing sector and knowledge-based economy, which currently accounts for about 11 per cent of UAE's GDP, is set to grow to 25 per cent of the national GDP by 2025. I see robotics and automation playing an integral part in strengthening the national manufacturing industry, especially the small and medium enterprises, and helping the UAE become the leading industrialised nation in the Middle East," Golnaz van Huyssteen, co-founder of Palladium Exhibition Organisers, told Khaleej Times.
She added: "The Robotics Technology Exhibition is a step in this direction and we intend to provide local industrialists, technologists and enthusiasts greater access to the latest developments in the field of robotics and automation."
RTEX 2015 will create a genuine platform for new, forward thinking ideas in robotics to be discussed and demonstrated. The event will showcase how robotics is being used across a number of industries as well as consumer applications. The exhibition will also serve as a great networking opportunity for public sector representatives, trade visitors, and exhibitors.
