India's Pidilite Group has entered into a partnership with German firm Stauf Klebstoffwerk to foray into commercial flooring business in GCC countries.
Bharat Puri, managing director of Pidilite Industries, said through the partnership, the company aims to strengthen its presence in commercial flooring business in Middle East, where the growth potential for this segment is fast growing.
Speaking to Khaleej Times in Dubai, Puri said the joint venture would start manufacturing the new range of commercial flooring at Pidilite's factory at Dubai Investment Park II.
"The local manufacturing facility will ensure that Pidilite's customers would be provided a whole range of Pidilite offerings as well as easy access to solutions for their needs under the umbrella of Pidilite," said Puri.
Puri said Pidilite UAE now caters to different segments. The company also expanded operations in Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and other Middle East countries, including Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Yemen and Iraq. The factory at Dubai Investment Park manufactures and supports a range of construction chemicals tailor-made specifically for the GCC market.
Volker Stauf, managing director of Stauf Klebstoffwerk, said the partnership with Pidilite would be long and sustained one.
"The company's core competence lies in innovation in both technology and R&D, and providing effective training to the applicants," said Stauf.
"Our collaboration is for the long term, and leverages the well-known strengths and capabilities of the two companies. It aims to provide best-in-class technology and products to customers through this collaboration," he pointed out.
