Prague - The winner of the UAE Global Management Challenge represented the country in the global finals of the Global Management Challenge held last week.
A team of managers from Russia won the 32nd edition of the Global Management Challenge, the world’s largest strategy and management competition.
The Challenge consists of a management simulation in which teams of three to five university students and young professionals are given complete control of a virtual company with the objective of obtaining the highest investment performance for its shareholders.
Teams of students and managers from 22 countries gathered in Prague to compete for the global championship of the Global Management Challenge.
Team Wadi of Wadi.com, the winner of the UAE Global Management Challenge, participated alongside teams from France, Spain, Russia, Hong Kong, Portugal, Estonia and Brazil among others.
In March, Team Wadi, a group of management professionals from Wadi.com, an online fashion store, won the UAE competition.
Team Wadi had competed against more than 70 teams comprising over 300 participants from companies and universities around the UAE, such as DP World, Emirates Global Aluminium, New York University of Abu Dhabi and Hult Management Institute.
Team Wadi won first place followed by The Achievers from Higher Colleges of Technology and Team DP World in third place. In addition, the jury honoured an Emirati team, EGA2, for its achievement, consistency of performance and dedication.
