The Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) has issued 10 Eitimad licences at the Heritage Village, as a part of the ongoing 15th session of Sharjah Heritage Days.
The Eitimad licence programme is designed to support citizens' ideas to invest in private home businesses. Speaking to Khaleej Times, Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, chairman of SEDD said that the objective of SEDD is to support the national sector and business enterprises for entrepreneurs. He stressed on the importance of taking part in the event that is sponsored by the Ruler of Sharjah because it contributes in enhancing the national sense and preserving the popular heritage of UAE.
Amal Habash, deputy director of commercial affairs department at SEDD, said that the department contributed this year by approving 10 Eitimad licences to support small and medium enterprises. SEDD works extensively to attract visitors and shoppers to the booths in order to support Eitimad owners. In addition, it will allow them to innovate as well as protect their intellectual and economic rights.  The heritage days will conclude on April 22.
