Motorists across the UAE will be happy to hear that they will be paying a little less to fill up the tanks of their vehicles in June, as the fuel prices drop in response to an international agreement by producers to extend the oil output cut.
Unleaded 98 gasoline will now cost Dh1.96 per litre, down from Dh2.01 per litre; while unleaded 95 gasoline will be charged at Dh1.85 per litre, also down from Dh1.90 per litre in the previous month. The cost of unleaded 91 gasoline has been revised down to Dh1.78 per litre from Dh1.83 per litre in May. Diesel will now cost Dh1.90 a litre, compared to the Dh1.97 a litre in May, the ministry announced on its website.

Fuel prices have mostly been witnessing an upward trend since the start of the year in the UAE, with the first decrease noted in April and followed by another drop now for June.
Global oil producers have agreed to extend oil output cuts - which were in place for the first six months of this year - by a further nine months to March 2018. The producers reduced output by 1.8 million barrels per day.
