Here is some good news for bargain hunters across the UAE that globally known 'Black Friday' sales are coming back to the UAE next week but its 'White Friday' here.
Last year, Souq.com brought 'Black Friday' to the Middle East for the first time, naming it 'White Friday'. This year, the largest online retailer in the region is bringing 10,000 exclusive deals and hoping to host 45 million visitors during the four-day sale starting from November 25.
The online retailer aims to sell 100,000 mobile phones at the lowest prices, 50,000 watches with starting price of Dh29, 10,000 litres of perfume, 100,000 litres of Pepsi, and one million diapers at the lowest price of 58 fils per piece.
Huawei Honor, Samsung, Lenovo, One Plus, Sony Playstation, Aldo, Guess, Pampers, Pepsi, Uber are amongst new and exclusive deals through "White Friday 2015." Souq.com expects at least half a million items sales during 'White Friday' 2015 period.
Following the unheralded hit last year where Souq.com reported the Middle East's biggest sale in online shopping history with over 285,000 items being sold, the retailer has confirmed it will launch 10,000 exclusive new deals and predicts it will sell two items per second.
With m-commerce forming a key aspect of the retailer's growth strategy, Souq.com is already offering its mobile app users sneak peek access to deals ahead of White Friday across its broad range of products and leading brands.
Ronaldo Mouchawar, CEO & Co-Founder, Souq.com states, "During the year we added thousands of brands and partners across all categories - to launch 10,000 deals, a huge boost from the two thousand we had last year. "
Mouchawar further explains the consumer benefit, "Souq.com is championing the factory-to-consumer model as it is opening the market up in terms of product diversity, as well as making globally revered brands more accessible to our customers."
Understanding the key role social media channels play in consumers' life today, this year White Friday Sale's hourly deals will be promoted simultaneously on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter during the entire sale time.
Users can also download the mobile app to get instant notifications when the best deals go live.  In addition to ensure a better service the online retailer have been working all year round to double its fulfillment network in 40 cities with its own delivery teams in addition to 200 new pick up locations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In order to further drive credit card adoption as well as provide more ways to provide value to its consumers during White Friday, those who make a purchase using their MasterCard credit card will receive a further 10 per cent off all deals.
With more and more people shopping online, e-commerce sales are poised to hit record numbers in 2015, growing 11 per cent over last year to reach $83 billion in sales globally. According to Adobe's 2015 holiday sales forecast, announced recently, Black Friday is predicted to reach $1.7 billion online.
