Dubai - A Flydubai spokesman said that flight FZ157 "returned to Dubai due to the performance of one of the engines."

A FlyDubai flight from Dubai to the Lebanese capital of Beirut was forced to return to Dubai on Tuesday morning because of a technical problem affecting one of its engines. 
The flight took off from Dubai at 8am but returned to Dubai 25 minutes into the flight. It had been scheduled to land in Beirut at 11:10am. 
A Flydubai spokesman said that Flydubai staff concluded that flight FZ157 "return to Dubai due to the performance of one of the engines." 
The aircraft landed safely back at Dubai International Airport, where passengers were provided refreshments in the terminal as they waited to be accommodated on the next available flight. 
Flydubai operates three flights daily from Dubai to Beirut.
