21 November 2010

DUBAI — Emirates NBD, a leading bank in the region, announced on Saturday the opening of its new Al Quoz branch and Business Banking Centre in Dubai, which will cater to the banking requirements of residents and people working in the various organisations in the Al Quoz industrial area.

“Emirates NBD has witnessed consistent growth over the last three years, as a result of its long-term vision and innovative business initiatives, and our customers are a key aspect of this growth,” said Jamal bin Ghalaita, Group Deputy CEO, Emirates NBD. “Providing the most convenient access for our clients is a strategic focus at Emirates NBD and we have achieved this through the fast growth of our branch network.”

“Emirates NBD priorities for the remainder of 2010 and continuing into 2011 will be to provide differentiated customer offerings that are delivered consistently, with our customer promise of high service quality,” he added.

Located on Shaikh Zayed Road, just off the main business artery in Dubai, the Al Quoz branch will provide a wide range of services to retail clients. The branch is open on working days (Saturday to Thursday) from 8:00am to 2:00pm and also has 10 ATMs and CDMs providing customers easy access to their accounts. Customers banking at the Al Quoz branch will have access to a full range of retail products and services, including Borrow Wisely personal loans, Auto Loans with unique features and Shariah-compliant insurance and savings products.

“Emirates NBD recognises the need for banking services especially in areas where people spend their entire working day,” said Abdulelah AlKindy, General Manager, Retail Banking, Emirates NBD. “With the opening of this new branch in Al Quoz, we continue to consolidate our position as one of the preferred banking partners in Dubai and provide customers with access to all retail banking services. In addition, Emirates NBD has more than 650 ATMs and CDMs located in different areas of Dubai that are operational on 24/7 basis.”

“Al Quoz is a fast growing industrial area in Dubai and there is year on year growth in terms of the establishment and expansion of new manufacturing and trading outlets,” said Vikas Thapar, Head of Business Banking, Emirates NBD. “Ready availability of business banking services is crucial to growth, and Emirates NBD is ideally positioned to provide such services to new and existing clients in this area through its dedicated Business Banking Centre.”

Al Quoz Business Banking Centre, which is adjacent to the Al Quoz Branch, offers SME clients the professional services of an assigned Relationship Manager with in-depth understanding of business requirements. Emirates NBD now has seven Business Banking Centres operational across the UAE, including Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Jebel Ali, Ittihad and Satwa.

Al Quoz Business Banking Centre, which will be open from 8am to 4pm Saturday to Thursday, will offer clients preferential pricing and services, red carpet privileges, Emirates NBD Business Credit and Debit cards and access to online banking via smartBUSINESS.
