That's right, Meet The Parents' Ben Stiller and Thelma And Louise's Susan Sarandon will be turning out for Artists for Peace and Justice (APJ) and Dubai Cares' glamorous BOVET 1822 'Brilliant is Beautiful' event in Dubai for the first time this December, raising critical funds for both organisations. The gala dinner and live auction will take place on December 7 at the Grand Millennium Business Bay.
Co-hosted and attended by Hollywood stars, philanthropists and APJ board members Stiller and Sarandon, the gala will also be hosted by Sarah Ferguson Duchess of York, actress and APJ board member Madeleine Stowe, and Dubai-based personality and APJ advisory board member Caroline Stanbury.
Proceeds from APJ's 'Brilliant is Beautiful' evening will benefit programs by Dubai Cares , a UAE-based global Philanthropic organization focused on providing quality education to children and young people in developing countries, and the 'Brilliant is Beautiful Global Fund for Women and Girls' Education', a scholarship fund for underprivileged young women and girls with programmes running throughout the developing world including Pakistan, Uganda, Peru and Haiti.
Caroline Stanbury is best known for her appearances on the UK's Ladies of London and has worked with APJ to bring 'Brilliant is Beautiful' to Dubai after helming successful editions of the event in London in 2016 and 2017. Stanbury aims to make the event an annual addition to Dubai's fundraising calendar.
Marchelle L. Sellers, Chief Executive Officer of Artists for Peace and Justice commented: "We're excited to be bringing 'Brilliant is Beautiful' to Dubai for the first time, and to be working with Dubai Cares to bring real change to the lives of many young women and girls around the world. This event has been made possible largely by our long term partner, Mr. Raffy, owner of BOVET 1822, who we can't thank enough for his generous support over the last 5 years. We're already looking forward to future events in this great city."
