It's a great time for Pakistan cricket fans. The first edition of the Pakistan Super League in the UAE was a huge success.
The second edition next year is going to be even bigger and better with a galaxy of international stars expected to entertain the fans.
Their national team, led by the classy Misbah-ul Haq, is doing exceptionally well.
And now Shahid Afridi, their biggest superstar, announced that Peshawar Zalmi would organise the first ever Zalmi Club World Cup in the UAE.

"I am proud to announce Zalmi World Cup,first time ever in the history of Pak, international platform will be provided to showcase talent," Afridi tweeted on Wednesday night.
While there has been no official confirmation from the Peshawar Zalmi team, their CEO, Javed Afridi, did share the news on Twitter on October 1. "Big news for cricket clubs from around the world! Stay tuned for Zalmi Club Championship in the UAE,your chance to shine," Javed Afridi tweeted.
What we can understand from these two tweets is that this tournament could be like the Champions League T20 in which all national T20 champions got a chance to fight for the honours.
In 2015, the Champions League T20 was scrapped as it failed to get the kind of response from fans the organisers were expecting.
Peshawar Zalmi now seems to be very keen to establish a tournament of their own which will showcase top talents.
Zalmi had a pretty good tournament in the inaugural PSL.
In the five-team Pakistan Super League in February this year, Zalmi - led by Afridi - topped the points table with six victories from eight matches. But they lost the two Qualifiers to Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United which ended their hopes of reaching the final.
They will have a new captain - West Indies all-rounder Darren Sammy - in the 2017 edition of the PSL.
Afridi, of course, will still be a part of Peshawar Zalmi in the next PSL.
And now this announcement from Afridi about the Zalmi Club World Cup is very significant for Pakistan cricket.
