Environment minister for combined efforts for progress

DUBAI — Dr Mohammad Saeed Al Kindi, Minister of Environment and Water, yesterday met the under-secretaries and directors of departments of the former Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, which is now referred to as the Ministry of Environment and Water.

The new minister, in his first official meeting with the ministry officials, discussed the work mechanisms of the ministry and ways to improve the performance of the officials and their departments.

Al Kindi praised the efforts exerted by the former minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Saeed Mohammad Al Raghabani.

In the near future, he said: “There will be need for more cooperation and greater efforts to work as one team in order to develop and enhance the performance of the new ministry.”

He said the Ministry of Environment and Water would adopt a strategic plan to push ahead the work of the ministry. He urged the officials of the ministry to present and create new ideas and suggestions on how to enhance and elevate the performance level of the staff and their departments. During the meeting, they discussed the main duties and tasks of the departments of the ministries, in addition to suggestions on how to develop the work in the future.
