A number of technicians of the Ministry of Environment and Water and officers of Food Control Department of Dubai Municipality participated in the course. During the training course, the ministry's expert highlighted the CITES regulations for trading in caviar in the country and globally.

Engineer Muna Omran Al Shamsi, head of CITES  at the Ministry of Environment and Water, underlined the significance of running such kind of training courses which will help develop and raise the efficiency of work of officials dealing in this product governed by CITES rules internationally. CITES is an international agreement between governments. Its aim is to ensure that international trade in specimens of wild animals and plants does not threaten their survival.
