DUBAI — The Criminal Investigation Department of Dubai Police has launched an intensive search for two brand new BMW cars which were stolen on March 3 from the parking lot outside the Arabian Gulf Mechanical Centre (AGMC) showroom on Shaikh Zayed Road.

A police source said the two BMW 2008 model cars were brought from Sharjah by AGMC dealers for BMW cars in Dubai, in the morning of March 1. The company representatives told the drivers to park the two new cars, blue and grey coloured, in the parking lot of the company on Shaikh Zayed Road. However on March 3 around 9am, the two cars without number plates were found missing.

An official from the company confirmed the theft and said that the value of the two stolen cars was around Dh500,000.
