Federal traffic law discussed

ABU DHABI — The UAE Cabinet held a meeting at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi yesterday.

The meeting was presided over by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Shaikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, was also present.

The cabinet reviewed memorandums submitted by ministers and took decisions. It also discussed the achievements of the Ministry of Economy.

Agreements on military cooperation with Russia, South Korea and Azerbaijan as well as a medical science cooperation accord with Azerbaijan were also approved at the meeting.

The cabinet also discussed the federal decree for Shaikh Khalifa International Date Palm Award, a draft federal law to regulate the process for grant of government housing as well as a draft law for creating a federal court of appeals in Khor Fakkan and two courts of first instance in Kalba’ and Khor Fakkan, Sharjah.

Amendments to some articles of the federal law for the Administrative Development Institute, federal traffic law as well as federal law for Judicial Authority were also approved.

Among other issues reviewed by the cabinet were the results of geological studies project and a report on the closing accounts of Real Estate Bank.
