By Adel Arfah

1 February 2007
ABU DHABI — Abu Dhabi Municipality is planning to impose a fine of not less than Dh500 on any person found washing a car on a street, sources in the civic body have said.

They added that the final decision would be announced soon.

The authorities had apparently received numerous complaints against people washing cars on roads.

The sources said the owner of a vehicle hiring a car washer would also have to pay the fine.
