According to Mirza Al Sayegh, director of Shaikh Hamdan’s office, the image of the Arabian horse continues to grow from strength to strength with increasing support from the leading horse breeder and owner.
“We are pleased to expand our operations to Brazil and Chile to display the unique quality of this smart creature. Our efforts in Latin America will start in a couple of weeks and we are sure to make the move worthwhile,” he said.
Addressing a press conference at the Jebel Ali Racecourse from London over the phone, Al Sayegh said they have put the final touches for the preparations to invade South America, one of the largest home of horse breeding and racing.
The races will be sponsored by Shadwell Farm where Shaikh Hamdan produces a remarkable array of talented runners.
Success has come to Shadwell as a result of assembling all the necessary ingredients for a top-notch programme.
“Shadwell’s global success is the result of hands-on management,” said Rick Nichols, the farm’s vice president and general manager. Under his direct supervision, Shadwell built an outstanding facility on the best land available and is home to many of the world’s top broodmares. “With racing and breeding programmes in Ireland, England, and America, Shadwell pulls everything together into one successful unit,” Nichols added.
Qualified professionals at the farm provide the requisite leadership to achieve Shadwell’s goals. In a short time, Shadwell has produced the winners of nine classic races: Sakhee, winner of the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe; Nashwan, winner of the Epsom Derby; and Two Thousand Guineas, Erhab winner of the Epsom Derby; Shadayid, winner of the English One Thousand Guineas; Harayir, winner of the English One Thousand Guineas; Mehthaaf, winner of the Irish One Thousand Guineas; Snow Bridge, winner of the Epsom Oaks; Tarib, winner of the French One Thousand Guineas; and Ghanaati, winner of the English One Thousand Guineas.
