Kamali showed abundant skills demoralising his opponent by playing an attacking game to win with a substantial lead in each frame. Such was the desperation of Srinivas that he was forced to go on the defensive and slow the pace of the match in a bid to stop Kamali. But it was of no avail as Kamali just breezed through to win 56/13, 62/37, 48/9.
Indian expat Roshan D’Souza was also in ominous form as he notched his second victory of the tournament. Saeed Harmodi virtually became a spectator as D’Souza unleashed his potting skills for various angles to the delight of the crowd. Harmodi, a national list referee, found no answer as D’Souza breezed to victory 43/9, 56/41, 63/35.
In another match, Ismail Naseeb grabbed the opportunities which came his way to score an easy 3-0 win over Abdulla Harmodi. A practice fanatic, Harmodi, third ranked referee in the country, tried to use all his experience to subdue Naseeb who prevailed 53/27, 61/42, 47/20.
