While the football, volleyball and basketball events are being held at the Shaikha Hind Sports Hall, the table tennis competitions are taking place at the UOWD Student Lounge, Knowledge Village.

The participating universities are Emirates Aviation College, University of Sharjah, American University of Sharjah, HCT Sharjah, Gulf Medical College, Ajman, Bits Pilani Dubai, Mahatma Gandhi University, Mahe Manipal Dubai, Middlesex University, Al Ghurair University, Preston University and UOWD.

“The UOWD Inter University Sports Festival has evolved into a major event on UAE college students’ calendar,” said Bridget Clifford, Manager of Student Services at UOWD.

“It promotes interaction between students of different universities. It also reflects UOWD’s motto of a nurturing well-rounded personality through sports, driven by the belief that sports activities go hand in hand with academic pursuits.”

The finals of football, volleyball and basketball will be held at the Shaikha Hind Sports Hall on November 22.

The table tennis finals will take place at the Student Lounge.
