Nalbandian roars back into top 10

HAMBURG - Roger Federer remains the world number one in men’s tennis despite a quarter-final exit in Paris against David Nalbandian, who went on to win the title and returned into the top 10.

The Swiss star Federer has 6,530 points in the latest ATP rankings issued on Monday, with Spain’s Rafael Nadal second on 5,535 points and Novak Djokovic of Serbia third on 4,470 points.

Richard Gasquet of France moved from 13 to eight to claim the last spot available at the season-ending Masters in Shanghai. The Argentine Nalbandian moved back into the top 10, up from 21st to ninth place, by virtue of the Paris titlr he won Sunday against Nadal.
