SHARJAH — Traffic violation fines can be paid by credit cards at the Traffic and Licensing Department (TLD) and the Tasjeel Village in addition to the online mode, Major Arif Mohammad Al Shamsi, Director, TLD, said on Monday.The Sharjah Police website, shjpolice.gov.ae, can be used to make the payments with credit cards, he said.
Major Shamsi denied the report in a Arabic daily saying that there was a big rush at the designated offices for the payment of traffic fines.
He said people did not have to stand for hours in long queues at the Sharjah Traffic Department to pay their fines.
He said they could pay also use the normal method for payment at the various locations including the police stations in Sharjah and Al Dhaid, the Traffic and Licensing Department, and the Tasjeel Village.
