RAS AL KHAIMAH — Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Traffic Police will shut down driving schools employing instructors and trainers who do not have training certificates from the RAK Driving Academy from next month, said Col. Nasser Salem Al Muraddad, Chief of the Traffic and Licensing Department.He said a three-month grace period which was given to all driving schools across the emirate to train their staff and instructors through the weekly training workshops being conducted by the RAK Driving Academy in coordination with the officers from the Traffic Police will expire at the end of this month.
“All those driving schools whose instructors and trainers have not attained mandatory trainings through these workshops or failed to obtain the training certificates will be shut down for failure to comply with the traffic rules,” said the officer. According to Co.l Muraddad said the training workshops were intended to equip the trainers and instructors with relevant skills and to teach them more about the traffic rules and regulations, which they are supposed to pass.
