ABU DHABI — A team, headed by Major Nasser Khadim Al Kaabi, Head of the Social Relations and Guidance at the Department of Information and Public Relations, has visited the 55 Iraqi children receiving medical treatment at Al Mafrq Hospital.

The children arrived in the country last Sunday and were admitted to the hospital following the directives of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed forces.

The team was received by a medical team of Al Mafraq hospital.

Major Al Kaabi said the visit was a humanitarian initiative taken by the Abu Dhabi Police that embodied a sense of solidarity and sympathy for the injured. It also symbolised Islamic values and Muslim unity, he added.

The visit, he said, had been organised in coordination with the Red Crescent.

The Iraqi children and their families appreciated the kind gesture saying that the visit had boosted their morale.
